10 months

Look, I can stand by myself!

One of our favorite faces he makes!
I cannot believe it has already been 10 months since my little sweet Conner Joseph made his quick and easy entrance into this world and has everyday since- abundantly blessed our lives.
When I found out that I was pregnant with Conner (and that he was a boy!)  I prayed that God would give me a sweet baby, one who would love to snuggle and want to be held.  One who would be smiley/happy and go with the flow.  One who would become a best friend to his older brother and eventually when he grows up, his daddy too.  One who loved life and succeeded in whatever he did.  But most importantly- one that had a sweet spirit, who loved God and served Him wholeheartedly, showing all of the fruits daily.
love his baby blues
One of the purist joys in my life is this little sweetie.  God has overwhelmingly answered every single one of my many requests in this little tiny package.   Conner is the happiest baby on the planet.  He loves everything and everybody.  He adores his brother.  He loves watching Devin and Hudson wrestle and loves to get on the floor and play with his daddy.  There has not been a day yet that this little one hasn't wanted to snuggle.  He loves life- it is evident by the pure joy that he finds in every single thing!
I cannot believe that he is almost a year!  I am trying to make a point and enjoy every moment of this year with him.  I know how fast it goes.
I love you my sweet little boy!

Time flies

I officially enrolled Hudson in a preschool this morning.  I know!!! GASP....and breathe-  I kept telling myself this over and over.  I cannot believe that Hudson is ready for preschool.  WHAT?!  Where did the time go?!
I am really excited for him!  It is a little preschool at a Baptist church down the road from us.  They have a max of 14 kids in the class and 2 teachers.  So for 3 days a week- 2 hours a time, my (not so little anymore) Hudson will experience school for his first year!  I now see after teaching Kindergarten for 7 years- the parents who did preschool with their kiddos didn't have a hard time with the start of Kindergarten, but those who didn't have ANY preschool freaked out.  I get it now.  I will be the parent who will be okay with Kindergarten, because I am having the freak out moment now!  2 years from now- it will be routine...kind-of!
I will post lots of pictures of our little preschooler this year!  For now- we will enjoy our summer.
Love that boy...
Enjoying our summertime!

Air Show 2010

We went to the Fairchild Air Show this past weekend with the Marcus/Jones family in Spokane.  This is the 2nd time that Hudson has gone and this time he had a little bit more fun!  The last time he went he was around 15-16 months old and sat on Papa's shoulders the whole time!   Conner and Layla's first experience went pretty good- they were really good sports considering it was nap time for them both and 97 degrees outside.  It was fun seeing "uncle Bob" in his uniform!  Proud of that soldier!

Three generations of Marcus boys!

Uncle Bob- hard at work that day!

The troops- surviving the heat!

Marcus/Jones- our faves!

Hubby is a rock star...

Devin + Chelan Man Olympic Triathlon = VICTORY
I seriously married a Rock Star!
Devin completed his third triathlon at his longest distance.  Out of (about) 600 people, he finished 11th overall and 1st in his age group.
Unfortunately- I did not get to attend, so there are no good pics.  Hoping that we get one somehow!

SO, SO, SO proud of you Devin!

Anniversary...

Well folks- we made it...
It is our 7th anniversary!  We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our amazing 7 years together.  My mom watched the boys for us overnight Friday through Saturday, which is the first time we have been away from both of them overnight (It was great!)  We had a delicious dinner at the Melting Pot on Friday night, followed by watching the Tour de France.  For most- it might not seem romantic, but we loved it!  Saturday, we went up to Seattle and walked around and had lunch.  It was a gorgeous-perfect weekend!

Never understood on my wedding day, that we could and would fall deeper and deeper in love with each other.   Amazing that we get to share this journey of life together and share each others passions together.  Feeling very, very blessed!

Triathlon Number 2

Devin convinced our awesome brother-in-law Bob to do the Medical Lake triathlon with him.  Bob- had just spent 5 days in the hospital having his beautiful daughter (my niece) and no sleep and no training....but the soldier he is- he did it!  These boys are amazing!  Kari and I thought that maybe- a small maybe...the 4 of us will do this one next year.  The swim across Medical Lake is a little intimidating, so we will see!

Here is my amazing hubby-

the swim

 finished the swim-
had to run up a muddy hill to the transition area

taking off on the bike, he passed over 20 people!
